About NanoCav

At NanoCav, a NantWorks subsidiary, we invent and develop technologies that capitalize on the interaction of light with biological matter. Our goal is to develop biomedical devices a quantum leap beyond the promise of ‘next-generation’ instruments. Grounded in the physics of nanoscale cavitation bubbles and interferometric microscopy, NanoCav core technologies provide:

  • ADVANCED CELL ENGINEERING PLATFORMS to transfer a wide range of cargo, including plasmids, RNAs, proteins and enzymes, organelles, and single-celled microorganisms efficiently and safely into any mammalian stem cell, primary tissue cell, or cells of any other origin or lineage;
  • CELL SORTING PLATFORMS to isolate and recover rare cells from impure populations at high speed and high purity; and
  • CELL DIAGNOSTICS PLATFORMS that accurately track real-time responses to environmental perturbations, including drug-sensitivity profiling of individual cancer cells and populations within a few hours.
